Elementary and Middle School

At Evergreen we lay the foundation for the joy of learning as we encourage our young heroes to find their life’s calling and tap into their unique genius. Our well-balanced educational experience ignites curiosity, creativity, critical-thinking and the ability to ask good questions.

If you are looking for an educational setting where your child will cultivate 21st century skills, develop strong character, and embrace a strong sense of self and purpose, Evergreen is the place for you. Matina Hunnell is passionate, creative, and skilled in leading the work of Evergreen Acton. The innovative learning design engages students to be lifelong learners and help them discover their calling. I wholeheartedly recommend Evergreen and its team!

We are so happy to have found Evergreen Academy! The only negative is that I wish we had found them sooner so that our older children would have had this education experience. I can already see that our Hero is developing a love of learning. We are excited that the education environment Evergreen fosters allows the Heroes to move at their own pace in different subjects while challenging them to grow their skills.

Check out what children are doing at Evergreen each day, and your mind will be blown! This is the education we wanted when we were young, and now it’s available for our children. They get to learn at their own pace and focus on their passions. What more could a parent ask for? This school is full of heroes just like your kids!

Our Philosophy of Learning

We believe that: Clear thinking leads to good decisions, Good decisions lead to the right habits, The right habits lead to character and Character becomes destiny.

Measuring Mastery

Young heroes celebrate the mastery of tools, skills and character by earning badges, assembling portfolios and taking part in public exhibitions.

  • Parents use badges to track academic progress in Core Skills like reading, writing, math and spelling and character development in “Learn to Be” Badges.
  • Electronic and hard copy Portfolios capture rough drafts, photos, video and other creative work.
  • Public exhibitions at the end of most Quests allow young heroes to present work to experts, customers or the public for a real world test.
